The Story of Mabel

A Life for Craftsmanship. A Life for Memory.

Im Mabel Loraine Whitmore, and Ive spent the last 45 years running a little jewelry shop in Brookhaven, Georgia. My pieces were never about trends they were always about meaning. I learned from my mother how to restore broken lockets and polish tarnished brooches. I fell in love with the quiet magic of giving old things new life. I opened Mabel Jewelry in 1977 with a few handmade items and a wooden display case. Over the years, I had the honor of making engagement gifts, mother-daughter sets, retirement presents, and memorial lockets. Some of my customers became lifelong friends. But the world changed. My hands began to shake. The shop became quieter. And I knew, in my heart, it was time to close. It was my grandson who gently convinced me to share my story online. "Grandma," he said, "people dont just want jewelry they want what your pieces represent." So we built this site together. Every piece listed here is part of what I call The Legacy Collection the final batch, handpicked with love.
